Bio-fuels and Ethanol Handling Conversion Project

Project Description
Greenberry was selected by the owner as general contractor to modify their refining facility at the Port of Tacoma to so they could receive and distribute both ethanol and bio-fuels to the Puget Sound area. This was a fast tract project and involved an extensive amount of direct-bury piping that was underneath the bay, as well as x-ray quality welding.
Service Provided
- Fabricate and install over 10,000 lineal feet of 1 ½” to 10” carbon pipe.
- Fabricate and install over 6,000 lineal feet of 1”x 2” carbon channel hot oil lines.
- Fabricate and install 8,000 lineal feet of miscellaneous process piping.
- Numerous heat treated welds.
- Over 650 welds were X-Ray tested with over a 98% initial pass rate.
- Insulation supply and install.
- Start up support.
