Conversion to Hydraulic Winder and Automatic Injection

- Installed new hydraulic system including:
- new structure
- new containment
- Relocated existing roll line hydraulic unit to new structure
- Upgraded rider roll and core chuck carriage assembly to cam-follower design
- Installed new hydraulic cut-off knife, "D" bar and roll ejector
- Installed new automatic core injection system and table
- Relocated both winder drum drives
- Erected new 3,500 square foot storage building including:
- new elevator
- new access ramp
- new unload dock
- Reinforced paper machine floor to accommodate larger reels for future construction
- Planned and coordinated pre-shutdown work to minimize impact on mill employees
- Successfully planned and implemented (3) major 1-week-plus 24-hour shutdowns in which all major mechanical work and tie-ins were completed
